F.P.A. Neon Information

Further to questions about the below 3 F.P.A. neons, a very much appreciated reply with answers and information from Diana at F.P.A.

The Purple, Pink and Magenta Neons, have been selling for over 20 years in Australia, New Zealand and the USA.

So, No not new shades.

Over the years we were very diligent in supplying only compliant pigments.

The pigment codes that were rejected in the UK / EU were in those 3 colours.

We adjusted the Combo Cakes with other Pinks and Purples to suit the UK/EU.

Also, we did not sell those 3 Neon colours to the international Stockists, as we were holding to the compliant codes.  (Trying to do the right thing by everyone)

We worked with our manufacturer to have these colours with compliant pigments.

The range of Pink and Purple Creme was developed and we thought we were set to go...

Unfortunately, the paint was very soft and therefore didn't last as long with the coverage as our usual paints.

Then we were informed the price for each cake would have to triple! 

The ingredients were hard to source from other countries, transport costs increased, and we knew our customers would not pay $42 for a 30gm cake!

For years we watched the other brands sell the same Neon Colours world wide.......

They were able to do this if their label had the "For Hair and special Effects Only"

Moving forward, we now would like you all to have these colours.

The FPA Brand has been operating for 21 Years.

We have never had any reported reactions to our paint/make-up cakes.

I feel confident that these restrictions with pigments will be lifted at some stage.

Hopefully that all makes sense and is informative.
